About Manor Carp Lake

Manor Carp Lake is a beautifully maintained carp fishery set in a 5-acre site with a 2-acre reed-lined lake featuring islands, lilies, and underwater structure. Established 20 years ago, each peg has its own area of private water to fish, depths are around 3ft to 7ft depending on the water levels. The bottom is sandy with clay and gravel areas along with silty spots, fish are caught from all areas around the lake. The lake is weedy but there are plenty of clear areas to find.

• 5 level pegs providing comfortable fishing spots.
• Pegs 1 & 2 (the point) are perfect for social fishing.
• Pegs 3b & 4 are also close together if you choose.
• Peg 3 has two options (a & b)
• Peg 5 is further way from the car park and has its own part of the lake to enjoy.
• Maximum capacity: 6 anglers per session.
• Defined fishing areas for each peg.
• Carp barrow is recommended to transport your equipment to your peg.
• Suitable footwear is recommended while walking around the lake.

Fish Stock: Approximately 80+ carp up to 26lb, including Mirror, Common, and Ghost carp. Some decent perch, large roach and the odd tench.

The most recent stocking came from VS Fisheries, and the previous stocking from Mark Simmonds.

Rules & Regulations

Fishing Rules

• All anglers must hold a valid EA fishing licence.
• Maximum 2 rods per angler (3 allowed if the lake is quiet).
• Rods must be attended at all times.
• Minimum 10 lb mainline, micro/barbless hooks only.
• No keep nets, sacking, fixed leads, leadcore, nuts, or peanuts.
• Use a 42″ landing net and large padded unhooking mat.
• Nets & slings must be dipped in the bucket provided.
• Fish only from designated pegs.
• No fish to be taken away; all carp must be returned safely.

Site Rules

• Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
• No wading, fires, or dogs.
• Remove all litter when leaving.
• Gates must be kept closed at all times.
• Parking only in the car park unless pre-arranged.
• No loud music or disturbance.
• Only fishing bivvys, no tents allowed.

Pricing

All sessions must be booked in advance. Winter rates 1st of November to end of February.

24 hour sessions starting and finishing at 12:00 midday
